Ekyana

Movement as Medicine:
Yoga & Pilates

"At Ekyana, movement is prescribed as medicine to help you move better, recover better, and live healthier."

We present Yoga and Pilates as two distinct, evidence-informed disciplines. Each addresses a specific set of physical challenges with its own specialized philosophy, class types, and clinical approach.

Section 01 · Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga

"Cultivate balance, resilience, and mindful movement."

01 · What It Is

Mind-Body Medicine & Nervous System Reset

Yoga at Ekyana is a therapeutic practice designed to heal, restore, and reconnect. Rather than extreme poses or contortions, we use mindful breathing (Pranayama), gentle joint alignment, and restful floor postures to calm an overstimulated brain and release deeply held somatic tension.

02 · The Problem It Addresses

Chronic Stress, Burnout & Nervous Tension

!
Constant Fight-or-Flight: Fast-paced modern routines lock your autonomic nervous system in sympathetic overdrive.
!
Shallow Chest Breathing: Stress shortens your breath, depriving cells of oxygen and elevating cortisol levels.
!
Physical & Mental Tightness: Cortisol and tension lodge in the neck, shoulders, and hips, causing fatigue that sleep alone cannot fix.
Section 02 · Pilates

Clinical Pilates

"Build strength, improve posture, and move with confidence."

01 · What It Is

Deep Core Stabilization & Postural Realignment

Pilates at Ekyana is a clinical neuromuscular movement system. Using specialized Reformer spring apparatus and targeted floor exercises, it strengthens the deep stabilizing muscles supporting your spine and pelvis - restoring upright posture and enduring physical resilience.

02 · The Problem It Addresses

Desk Slump, Weak Core & Spinal Compression

!
Prolonged Seated Posture: 8-10 hours a day at a screen collapses thoracic extension and rounds the shoulders forward.
!
Dormant Deep Core: When the transverse abdominals switch off, gravity directly compresses the lumbar discs and lower back.
!
Recurring Pain & Imbalance: Neck strain, sciatica, and chronic pelvic tilting develop from uneven muscular compensation.
Movement Synergy

Distinct Practices, Powerful Together

While each discipline serves a unique purpose, they create complete bodily harmony when practiced in tandem. Yoga calms what is overworked and restores joint flexibility; Pilates builds deep structural stability and protects the spine.
